Well, we made it! With only a few bruised egos and ribs (even some broken ones!) we navigated the Upper and lower Gauley River over the weekend of of September 22-24. Our participation in the Animal
Upper Gauley brought us a victory in the form of a third place run for our Women's boat (only three boats in the division, who's counting?).
And the Men's boat, while having super clean runs and superb oarmanship, was hampered by an 8 man boat with 6 padderlers and team injuries suffered the night before during an intense briefing session around the campfire.
